The 2007 The Falstaff (66% Cabernet Franc, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest equal parts Merlot and Petit Verdot) reveals beautiful aromas of blueberries, raspberries, bouquet garni, wood spice, espresso, and smoky oak. It possesses outstanding texture, sweet, velvety tannins, and an opulent, fleshy mouthfeel. The high proportion of Cabernet Franc will lead to more and more complex aromatics as the wine ages in bottle. It should age easily for 15+ years. -91+pts WA
