Good deep red. Musky raspberry, brown spices, game and smoke on the highly nuanced nose. Suave, dense and deep if a bit youthfully musclebound today; conveys a powerful impression of energy and mounts impressively with air. Finishes quite tight, even a bit youthfully dry-edged, with pepper and herbal notes. I suspect that this very dense young grand cru will need at least a decade in the cellar before its tough tannic spine begins to loosen up. -93+pts IWC (ST)
