Grand Cru Wine Merchants

The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino from Donna Olga is a dark, masculine wine that emerges with generous black fruits, grilled herbs, French oak and tobacco. This intensely backward, brooding Brunello offers tons of density in its fruit that carries through all the way to the finish. The tannins clamp down a bit on the finish, but additional bottle age should help this Brunello finds its center. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019. -89pts WA (AG)
