Bright ruby-red. Complex nose combines black raspberry, currant, dried rose and cardamom. Superripe but juicy, with a strong spice character and a rather sophisticated texture. Very suave, supple wine, with sexy oak treatment. Finishes with ripe tannins and lingering notes of currant, cinnamon and tobacco. -90pts IWC

Good deep red-ruby. Spicy aromas of plum, crushed black raspberry, blackcurrant syrup, brown sugar, pepper and tobacco, complicated by sexy oak tones. Sweet, lush, layered and deep, with very suave, pliant flavors of dark berries, dried flowers, spices, truffle and earth given grip by a firm edge of acidity. Has the texture of a very ripe claret-and a lovely light touch. Finishes elegant and long, with dusty, fine tannins and lingering oak spice and earth notes. -91pts IWC

Red-ruby. Spicy, sappy aromas of currant, cherry, minerals, graphite and spicy oak. Wonderfully aromatic and gripping in the mouth, with strong, ripe dark fruit flavors complicated by pepper, flowers and mint. This boasts a compelling, penetrating sweetness and terrific density. Bright, full ruby. Sexy, smoky aromas of currant, licorice, pepper, tobacco leaf and sweet herbs; showing its cabernet side today. Then suave, ripe, pliant and round, with classically dry flavors of currant, spice and pepper. Finishes with sweet tannins and lovely persistence. Here the cabernet dominates the wine's aromas and flavors, while the malbec gives a mouthfilling texture. A very successful blend. -91pts IWC
